Questions and Answers
The life insurance plan provides a worldwide cover. However, the life assured’s condition must be certified by a qualified physician practising Western medicine. We reserve the right to ask the life assured to be reviewed by an appointed physician.
If a special endorsement (Endorsement No. 100) is included in the life assured's policy, e.g. for foreigners and PRs, the life assured is required to be diagnosed in Singapore, Malaysia or Brunei. However, we will still consider the medical evidence if the illness is diagnosed in other countries.
If the medical evidence is sufficient, we may choose to pay the claim on a goodwill basis without admitting liability. Otherwise, we reserve the right to ask the life assured to be reviewed by an appointed physician.
