Smoking can lead to 10 different cancers as cited by the Singapore Cancer Society (only 5 are shown). Other than nicotine, cigarette smoke contains harmful chemicals that can lead to cancer.

Plan ahead, safeguard your finances, and secure a healthier, smoke-free tomorrow.

Besides nicotine, cigarette smoke contains more than 5,000 harmful chemicals, with at least 69 of them causing cancer.
Rare cancers you didn't know are smoking-induced:

Leukemia
It is a group of blood cancers that starts in the cells that are part of the body's immune system. Smoking disrupts the lymphatic function and weakens the body's immune response, increasing the risk of leukemia by as much as 40%. It is the most common cancer in male and the 6th most common cancers in females in Singapore.

Oesophageal cancer

The oesophagus is often overlooked but is essential for transporting food to your stomach. Smoking increases your risk of oesophageal cancer, which affects the upper and lower areas of the tube. It typically affects those 60 years and above, with male smokers being the most susceptible.

Bladder cancer

As the most important risk factor for bladder cancer, smoking causes approximately half of all bladder cancers. Smokers increase their risk by 4 to 7 times as the inhalation of harmful chemicals collects and accumulates in the bladder.

Kidney cancer

Our kidneys act as a filter system for our body - they remove waste products from the blood while returning vitamins and other vital substances to the bloodstream. Smoking doubles the risk of developing kidney cancer, threatening our body's ability to stay healthy and function
