Women may sometimes discount these clues as they don’t “feel” like a heart attack. It is important that these warning signs are not ignored and that a doctor be consulted immediately.
What to do?
- Call 995 for ambulance immediately
- Do not self-drive to the hospital
You will need specialised treatment as soon as possible to save your heart muscle. The ambulance has the necessary medical equipment and medication to manage your condition.
Stroke symptoms
You may also encounter some of these symptoms:
- Fainting or unconsciousness
- Severe headache with no known cause
- Difficulty walking, dizziness, loss of balance or coordination
- Blur vision
What to do?
- Call 995 for ambulance immediately
Signs of sudden cardiac arrest
- Call 995 for ambulance
- Start CPR immediately
- Use an AED if it is available
