According to Health Hub, here’s when to go for eye screening:

  • Children: Yearly from age three, at the start of school and then every two years
  • Teens/Adults: Once every two years
  • Elderly: Once a year after age 60

Contracting myopia at a young age1 may lead to high myopia and result in serious complications, low vision and even blindness as early as mid-adulthood. This increases risks of falls, depression and even premature death. Feed your eyes with food rich in antioxidants2 such as:

  • Spinach
  • Broccoli
  • Multi-colour vegetables and fruits
  • Mushrooms
  • Avocados
  • Almonds and nuts
  • Melon and pumpkin seeds
  • Sesame seeds
  • Eggs
