TERMS AND CONDITIONS GOVERNING eCONNECT SERVICE

These terms and conditions (collectively, the "Terms and Conditions") govern your access and use of the GREAT EASTERN eConnect service (defined below), and form a contract between you (either an individual or the entity you represent) (“You” or “you”); and Great Eastern Life Assurance Company Limited (the “Insurer”). Please read these Terms and Conditions carefully. By continuing to access and/or use the GREAT EASTERN eConnect service, you are consenting to be bound by these Terms and Conditions. If you do not agree to all of the terms of these Terms and Conditions, you must not use or access the GREAT EASTERN eConnect  service.

In addition to these Terms and Conditions, you may be required to agree to other terms and conditions in respect of particular Contents or Services we may make available on or via the GREAT EASTERN eConnect  service from time to time. In the event and to the extent only of any conflict or inconsistency between the terms and conditions of any particular Content or Service and these Terms and Conditions, the terms and conditions for such Content and/or Service will prevail over these Terms and Conditions.

  1. Definitions and interpretation 

    1.1     In these Terms and Conditions, unless the context requires otherwise:

    “Access Credentials” means the eConnect  PIN, OTP, and/or any other form of electronic identification or device, issued or prescribed by or on behalf of the Insurer for use by the Customer in accessing the GREAT EASTERN eConnect service.

    “Account” means the online user account created by a Customer in order to access and use the GREAT EASTERN eConnect service, including any Contents and/or Services offered by the Insurer on or via the GREAT EASTERN eConnect service.

    “Content” or “Contents” means any data and/or information that is available, accessible or stored in the GREAT EASTERN eConnect service in an electronic form, including, without limitation, any information, advertisements, documents, text, files, images, sounds, moving images and videos.

    “Customer” means a person who has purchased one or more policies from the Insurer or otherwise has an existing business relationship with the Insurer.
    “GREAT EASTERN eConnect service” means the Internet and mobile-based interactive information service, (accessible at eConnect) provided by the Insurer that enables the Customer to access the Account(s), manage his/her policies with the Insurer and/or to otherwise transact and communicate with the Insurer.

    “Name” means the name or word “Great Eastern”, and or “GE”

    “OTP” means each one-time password valid for one session or transaction which will be issued by the Insurer delivered to the Customer’s designated telephone number via Short Message Service (SMS), or otherwise generated by or delivered via any other device, delivery channel or any means whatsoever, designated by the Insurer at any time from time to time in its sole and absolute discretion.

    “Parties” means you and the Insurer collectively and “Party” means either one of them. 

    “PDPA” means Singapore’s Personal Data Protection Act including all subsidiary legislation related thereto.

    “Personal Data” or “personal data” means data, whether true or not, about an individual who can be identified (i) from that data; or (ii) from that data and other information to which the organisation has or is likely to have access.

    “Services” means any of the Internet-based, mobile based, interactive information services, software, content, or interactive tools that may be provided by the Insurer, including without limitation the GREAT EASTERN Alert Notification Service; 

    “Terminal” means computers, mobile devices or other access devices (including without limitation television) that you may use to access and/or use the GREAT EASTERN eConnect service.

    “Trade Mark” means the trademarks “Great Eastern” and/or “GE Life”

    1.2     Unless the contrary intention appears:

    (a)     The word “person” includes an individual, a firm, a body corporate, a partnership, joint venture, an unincorporated body or association, or any government agency, and includes a reference to the person’s executors, administrators, successors, substitutes (including, without limitation, persons taking by novation) and assigns;

    (b)     No rule of construction applies to the disadvantage of a Party because that Party was responsible for the preparation of these Terms and Conditions or any part of it; and

    (c)     Headings are inserted for convenience and do not affect the interpretation of these Terms and Conditions.

  2. Customer Accounts

    2.1     The GREAT EASTERN eConnect service enables Customers to have access the Account(s) and/or to effect certain policy, personal particulars, and other transactions (including without limitation the transmission of instructions to the Insurer, executing funds transfers and/or making bill payments) by electronic means via the use of Terminals. If you are a Customer, you may requests for the GREAT EASTERN eConnect service to be made available for the operation of your Account(s), and the Insurer may at the Insurer's discretion allocate a GREAT EASTERN Internet Access Personal Identification Number (“eConnect PIN”) to you. You will be notified of your eConnect in writing. The Customer may gain access to the GREAT EASTERN eConnect service and/or the Account and/or any part thereof only upon the correct input and/or use of his/her Access Credentials.

    2.2     If you are a Customer, you acknowledge and agree that you are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality, safekeeping and security of your Account details and Access Credentials. A Customer shall not reveal his/her Access Credentials to any other party and shall take all necessary steps to prevent disclosure of his/her Access Credentials to any other party. In the event that a Customer's eConnect PIN is disclosed to or discovered by any other party, the Customer shall immediately change the same.

    2.3     The Customer agrees and acknowledges that any use of or access to the GREAT EASTERN eConnect service referable to, and any instructions identified by the Customer’s Access Credentials (whether such access to or use of the GREAT EASTERN eConnect service, or instruction, is authorised by the Customer or not) shall be deemed to be, as the case may be: (a) use of or access to the GREAT EASTERN eConnect service by the Customer; or (b) instructions transmitted or validly issued by the Customer. The Customer authorises the Insurer to accept, follow and act upon all instructions that are attributable to the Customer’s Access Credentials (whether such instructions are actually authorised by the Customer or not), including for additional products and services to be made available to the Customer, and the Insurer shall not be liable for acting upon such instructions in good faith. The Insurer shall neither be liable for acting upon such instructions nor be obliged to investigate the authenticity or authority of such persons effecting the instructions or verify the authenticity, accuracy and completeness of such instructions. Such instructions shall be deemed irrevocable and binding on the Customer upon the Insurer's receipt notwithstanding any error, fraud, forgery, lack of clarity or misunderstanding in respect of the terms of such instructions and the Insurer shall be entitled (but not obliged) to effect, perform or process such instructions without the Customer's further consent and without any further reference or notice. The Insurer shall be entitled but shall not be obliged to verify any instructions given via the GREAT EASTERN eConnect service by online means or via telephone.

    2.4     A Customer may, from time to time, change the Customer's eConnect PIN and/or such other Access Credentials as permitted by the Insurer from time to time. The Insurer shall be entitled at the Insurer's absolute discretion to reject any number or alphabet selected by a Customer as the Customer's substitute eConnect PIN without giving any reason therefor. The Customer's substitute eConnect PIN shall take effect upon the Insurer's confirmation and the Customer's use therefrom shall be governed by these Terms and Conditions. When selecting a substitute eConnect PIN, the Customer shall refrain from selecting any series of consecutive or same or similar numbers or alphabets or any series of numbers or alphabets that may easily be ascertainable or identifiable with the Customer.

    2A. Access Credentials

    2A.1     The Customer shall comply with all requirements, instructions and specifications relating to his/her Access Credentials (including without limitation any registration and activation procedures) as may be prescribed by the Insurer at any time and from time to time in its sole and absolute discretion.

    2A.2     The Customer shall immediately notify the Insurer (i) if the Customer has any knowledge or reason for suspecting that the security or confidentiality of any Access Credential or Terminal used by the Customer for the generation and/or reception of Access Credentials has been compromised or if there has been any unauthorised use of any Access Credentials or such Terminal, or (ii) of any loss, replacement and/or change of number, as the case may be, of any mobile phone or other Terminal or other device (as the case may be) used by the Customer for the generation and/or reception of Access Credentials. The Customer shall be solely responsible and liable for all losses and consequences arising from or in connection with any failure by the Customer to comply with any of the foregoing.

    2A.3 Notwithstanding any other agreement to the contrary, the Customer hereby consents for the insurer to disclose any information relating to the Customer or the Customer's Account to any of the Insurer's subsidiaries, branches, agents, correspondents, agencies and representative offices which has a legitimate business purpose for obtaining such information, including without limitation offering the Customer products or services involving the use of any Access Credential.

  3. GREAT EASTERN Alert Notification Service

    3.1     The Insurer at its sole discretion may provide its Customers with the “GREAT EASTERN e-Alerts Notification Service” (which includes, without limitation, the “GREAT EASTERN e-Alerts Service” (or by whatever name designated to it in the future) through electronic mail, facsimile, SMS or such other media as the Insurer may deem appropriate.

    3.2     The scope and features of the GREAT EASTERN e-Alerts Notification Service shall be as determined or specified by the Insurer from time to time. The Insurer shall be entitled to modify, expand or reduce the GREAT EASTERN e-Alerts Notification Service at any time and from time to time without notice as the Insurer may deem fit without assigning any reason therefore.

    3.3     Any notification provided by the Insurer under the GREAT EASTERN e-Alerts Notification Service shall be transmitted or otherwise made available to the Customer at such times as the Insurer may reasonably deem fit.

    3.4     The Insurer may contract with one or more third parties to provide, maintain or host the GREAT EASTERN e-Alerts Notification Service. The Customer acknowledges that, in providing the GREAT EASTERN e-Alerts Notification Service, the Insurer will have to release and transmit the Customer’s information (including information relating to the Customer’s Account(s) with the Insurer) to such third parties. The Customer hereby agrees and consents to such release and transmission of its information to such third parties. The Customer further acknowledges that its information may be placed and stored in servers outside the Insurer’s control.

    3.5     A notification under the GREAT EASTERN e-Alerts Notification Service shall be considered to be sent by the Insurer upon the broadcast of the notification by the third party to the contact particulars designated by the Customer for the purposes of the GREAT EASTERN e-Alerts Notification Service, regardless of whether such notification is actually received by the Customer. The Insurer does not guarantee receipt of any notification under the GREAT EASTERN e-Alerts Notification Service by the Customer and the Customer understands and agrees that the Customer’s use of the GREAT EASTERN e-Alerts Notification Service is at the Customer’s own risk.

    3.6     The Customer shall notify the Insurer immediately of any change in its contact particulars designated by the Customer for the purposes of the GREAT EASTERN e-Alerts Notification Service. Where the Customer fails to inform the Insurer of such change, the Insurer shall not be responsible for any loss, damage or other consequence which the Customer may suffer as a result of any notification being sent to the Customer’s latest designated contact particulars in the Insurer’s records.

    3.7     All references to a time of day in any notification sent by the Insurer under the GREAT EASTERN e-Alerts Notification Service are to Singapore time (unless otherwise specified by the Insurer).

    3.8     All notifications under the GREAT EASTERN e-Alerts Notification Service shall be from the Insurer to the Customer only and the Customer should never attempt to communicate with the Insurer by directing any communication to the sender’s contact number, address or other particulars which may be indicated on the notification.

    3.9     The Customer agrees that the Insurer, its directors, officers, employees and agents are not responsible for any losses or damages, including legal fees, that may arise, directly or indirectly, in whole or in part, from: (a) the non-delivery, delayed delivery, or the misdirected delivery of a notification under the GREAT EASTERN e-Alerts Notification Service; (b) any inaccurate or incomplete content in a notification under the GREAT EASTERN e-Alerts Notification Service; or (c) the reliance by the Customer on or use of the information provided in a notification under the GREAT EASTERN e-Alerts Notification Service for any purpose.

  4.  Your use of the GREAT EASTERN eConnect service

    4.1     You are entitled to access and use the GREAT EASTERN eConnect service and your Account (if you are a Customer) solely in accordance with these Terms and Conditions.

    4.2     You represent, warrant and agree that you shall not:

    (a)     modify, disassemble, decompile or reverse engineer the GREAT EASTERN eConnect service, including any software therein;
                
    (b)     reproduce or make any copies of the GREAT EASTERN eConnect service and/or any Contents in or on the GREAT EASTERN eConnect service, in whole or in part, including any software therein, except with the prior written consent of the Insurer;
                
    (c)     remove, circumvent, disable, damage or otherwise interfere with security-related features of the GREAT EASTERN eConnect service, including but not limited to any features that:

        (i) are designed to verify the identity of a Customer or any user;
            
        (ii) prevent or restrict the access to or use of any particular functionalities and/or facilities of the GREAT EASTERN eConnect service;

        (iii) prevent or restrict the access to, use of, or the copying of any Content that is made available or accessible through the GREAT EASTERN eConnect service;

    (d)     make, or attempt to make, unauthorized access to any Account that does not belong to you, make, or attempt to make, unauthorized usage of any Access Credentials that do not belong to you, or otherwise execute any unauthorized instructions or transactions via the GREAT EASTERN eConnect service;

    (e)     delete any Trade Mark, Name, including any other trade marks used by the Insurer, and/or other proprietary rights notices that is/are displayed on the GREAT EASTERN eConnect service therein;

    (f)     use the GREAT EASTERN eConnect service for any purpose that is unlawful or prohibited by these Terms and Conditions;

    (g)     use the GREAT EASTERN eConnect service in any manner that could damage, disable, overburden, or impair the operation of the GREAT EASTERN eConnect service provided therein, or interfere with any other persons’ access to and use of the GREAT EASTERN eConnect service;

    (h)     use any device, software or routine, including, but not limited to, any viruses, trojan horses, worms, time bombs or cancel bots intended to damage or interfere with the proper working of the GREAT EASTERN eConnect service provided therein and/or to intercept or expropriate any Content, system, data or personal data from the GREAT EASTERN eConnect service; and/or

    (i)     transmit any content of any type that : (1) infringes or violates any rights of any party; (2) is false, offensive, defamatory, inaccurate, misleading or fraudulent; and/or (3) violates any applicable law.

    4.3     You shall be responsible for obtaining and using the necessary software and/or equipment necessary to obtain access to the GREAT EASTERN eConnect service at your own risk and expense. You shall also be responsible for the performance and security (including without limitation taking all necessary measures to the extent reasonably possible to prevent unauthorised use or access) of any Terminal used by you in connection with the GREAT EASTERN eConnect service. You hereby represent that the Terminals through which you access to the GREAT EASTERN eConnect service are free from any electronic, mechanical, data failure or corruption, computer viruses, bugs and/or other harmful or malicious software of any kind whatsoever.

  5. Intellectual Property

    5.1     You acknowledge that the Insurer or third parties (as the case may be) own all rights, title and interest in and to the GREAT EASTERN eConnect service and/or the Intellectual Property Rights in the GREAT EASTERN eConnect service, including without limitation any Content located therein and/or software relating thereto, and you shall not do or permit any act which is directly or indirectly likely to prejudice the rights, title or interest of the said rightful owner(s) in and to any of the aforesaid. “Intellectual Property Rights” means any and all rights existing from time to time (both current and future) under patent law, copyright law, trade secret law, trademark law, unfair competition law, and any and all other proprietary rights, and any and all applications, renewals, extensions and restorations thereof, now or hereafter in force and effect worldwide, or capable of protection in any relevant country in the world. Unless otherwise expressly permitted by mandatorily applicable law, you agree not to modify, adapt, translate, prepare derivative works from, or decompile, reverse engineer, disassemble or otherwise attempt to derive source code from the GREAT EASTERN eConnect service. Without prejudice to the generality of the foregoing, you shall not use in any way and shall not reproduce any trade marks that are associated with the Insurer and/or that you have sight of when accessing and using the GREAT EASTERN eConnect service without the prior written consent of the Insurer.

    5.2     The Insurer hereby grants to you a limited personal, non-sub-licensable, non-transferable, revocable, terminable and non-exclusive license to access and use the GREAT EASTERN eConnect service (the “Licence”). The grant of this Licence does not constitute a transfer or sale of the GREAT EASTERN eConnect service or any copy thereof, and the Insurer retains all right, title, and interest in and to the GREAT EASTERN eConnect service, including any software or any Intellectual Property Rights therein.

    5.3     You undertake that you shall not use and you shall not allow the use of, the Trade Mark or Name in any of the following ways:

    (a)     as part of any corporate or legal business name, which you are connected with, involved in or participating in;

    (b)     in connection with any of your services or activities;

    (c)     as part of any domain name, homepage, electronic address, metatag, or otherwise in connection with the Internet or a website, except with the prior written consent of the Insurer; and

    (d)     with any prefix, suffix, or other modifying words, terms, designs, or symbols.

    5.4     You agree and undertake that:

    (a)     all rights, title, interest and any goodwill in the Name and/or Trade Mark, or any derivatives thereof, belong exclusively and wholly to the Insurer and that you shall not under any circumstances gain any right to or interest or goodwill in the Name and/or Trade Mark or any derivatives thereof independently of the Insurer; and

    (b)     you shall not register domain names associated with or including the Name and/or the Trade Mark, or any derivatives thereof, or any name that is confusingly similar to any of them including any visual or phonetic equivalent or other derivation thereof (hereinafter referred to as “Domain Names”) and that the Insurer shall retain at all times all legal and beneficial rights, title and interest in the Domain Names.

    5.5     You shall not at any time, including in the event of a termination of the agreement entered into with you based on these Terms and Conditions, use, adopt, register or apply to register, in any country, any name, corporate name, company name, business name, trading name, domain name, or trade mark which:

    (a) is identical, similar to, or is a colourable imitation of, the Trade Mark and/or of the Name;

    (b) incorporates the Trade Mark and/or Name, or is a combination or variation of the Trade Mark and/or Name; or

    (c) is similar to any graphic, visual or phonetic representation of the Trade Mark and/or Name.

  6. Links to Third Party Content

    6.1     Nothing in or on the GREAT EASTERN eConnect service shall be considered an endorsement, representation or warranty of or by the Insurer with respect to any third party or any third party's websites, content, products, services or otherwise. Without limiting the generality of the foregoing, the foregoing applies to any advertising content whether paid or unpaid, as well as links that may be provided in the GREAT EASTERN eConnect service or the contents available and accessible through the GREAT EASTERN eConnect service. Such links (if any) are provided solely as a convenience to you. You use such links to access third party content, websites or applications at your own risk. The Insurer makes no representations or guarantees regarding the availability or content (including its truthfulness, accuracy, completeness, timeliness or reliability) of such third party content, websites or applications in respect of which links have been provided in the GREAT EASTERN eConnect service, nor with regard to broken links.

    6.2     All Intellectual Property Rights to any and all such third party content, websites or applications accessible through links contained on the GREAT EASTERN eConnect service belong to their respective owners. The Insurer does not claim to have any rights over the same and in no circumstances shall the Insurer be considered to be associated or affiliated in whatever manner with any such Intellectual Property Rights used or appearing on any and all such third party content, websites or applications accessible through links contained on the GREAT EASTERN eConnect service.

  7. Links to the GREAT EASTERN eConnect service

    7.1     Except as expressly set forth in these Terms and Conditions, caching and links to (including deep linking), and the framing of the GREAT EASTERN eConnect service and/or any of the web pages therein are prohibited.

    7.2     Under no circumstances shall the Insurer be considered to be associated or affiliated in whatever manner with any Intellectual Property Rights used or appearing on websites that link to the GREAT EASTERN eConnect service and/or any of the web pages therein.

    7.3     The Insurer reserves the right to disable any unauthorised links or frames and disclaims any responsibility for the content available on any other website that links to the GREAT EASTERN eConnect service.

  8. Disclaimer of Warranties and Liability

    8.1     You acknowledge and agree that the GREAT EASTERN eConnect service (including all Contents and Services therein) is provided on an “as is” basis, and the Insurer disclaims all warranties and makes no warranty of any kind, whether express or implied (statutory or otherwise), including but not limited to warranties on the merchantability, sufficiency, quality and fitness for a particular purpose of the GREAT EASTERN eConnect service and/or the Contents and Services therein. The Insurer further makes no warranty that the GREAT EASTERN eConnect service does not infringe the rights (including Intellectual Property Rights) of any party. Subject to the foregoing, you wholly assume all risks in your access and use of the GREAT EASTERN eConnect service.

    8.2     Save as otherwise expressly provided for in these Terms and Conditions, the Insurer makes no guarantee, representation or warranty whatsoever that:

    (a)     the GREAT EASTERN eConnect service will be error free;

    (b)     you will be able to access the GREAT EASTERN eConnect service or that the GREAT EASTERN eConnect service access will be uninterrupted;

    (c)     the GREAT EASTERN eConnect service will meet your requirements or be fit for your purposes, whether or not such requirements or purposes have been informed to the Insurer or otherwise; and/or

    (d)     any information provided via the GREAT EASTERN eConnect service is accurate.

    8.3     To the extent permitted by law, you agree that the Insurer shall not be liable to you in contract, tort (including negligence or breach of statutory duty) or otherwise howsoever and whatever the cause thereof, for any:

    (a)     loss of your data whatsoever;

    (b)     indirect, consequential, collateral, special or incidental loss or damage suffered or incurred by you in connection with the GREAT EASTERN eConnect service. For the purposes of this clause, indirect or consequential loss or damage includes, without limitation, loss of existing or anticipated revenue or profits, anticipated savings or business, loss of data or goodwill, business interruption, loss of use or value of any equipment including software, claims of third parties, and all associated and incidental costs and expenses.

    8.4     Notwithstanding anything that may be to the contrary, no action may be brought by you against the Insurer, under these Terms and Conditions or in relation to the GREAT EASTERN eConnect service, more than one (1) year after the cause of action arose. For the avoidance of doubt, this limitation shall not apply to claims by the Insurer against you.

  9. Personal Data Protection

    9.1     You agree that the Insurer may collect, use, disclose, process and/or store your personal data, in accordance with the terms of the Insurer’s Privacy Policy.

  10. Alteration of the GREAT EASTERN eConnect service and Termination of Account and Termination of the Licence

    10.1     The Insurer may amend or modify all or part of the GREAT EASTERN eConnect service (including any of its Contents), or alter the web-site or any software (including mobile applications) used for accessing GREAT EASTERN eConnect service, at any time. The Insurer reserves the right not to support any prior version of software. Without prejudice to the generality of the foregoing, if the Customer fails to upgrade the relevant software or to use the enhanced version of software, the Insurer shall not be liable for the consequences resulting therefrom.

    10.2     The Insurer has the right to and you acknowledge that the Insurer can:

    (a)     withdraw any information, data or content forming a part of the GREAT EASTERN eConnect service; or

    (b)     immediately suspend, withdraw or terminate :

    (i)     your Account (if you are a Customer);

    (ii)     your access and use of the GREAT EASTERN eConnect service; and/or

    (iii)     the Licence,

    at any time, without liability and without notice to you or any third party, for any or no reason whatsoever. You shall not hold the Insurer liable in any way whatsoever for any of the aforesaid. Without limiting the generality of the foregoing, in the event that your access and/or use of your Account and/or the GREAT EASTERN eConnect service is in breach of these Terms and Conditions, the Insurer has the right to immediately terminate your Account (if you are a Customer) and/or your access and use of the GREAT EASTERN eConnect service without notice to you, and to take all such action as it considers appropriate, desirable or necessary including but not limited to taking legal action against you.

    10.3     Any termination or suspension of your Account (if you are a Customer) shall not entitle you to receive any compensation in respect of the termination.

  11. Governing Law and Dispute Resolution

    These Terms and Conditions are governed by and shall be construed in accordance with the laws of Singapore. Any dispute arising out of or in connection with these Terms and Conditions, including any question regarding its existence, validity or termination, shall be referred to and finally resolved by arbitration administered by the Singapore International Arbitration Centre (“SIAC”) in accordance with the Arbitration Rules of the Singapore International Arbitration Centre ("SIAC Rules") for the time being in force, which rules are deemed to be incorporated by reference in this clause. The seat of the arbitration shall be Singapore. The Tribunal shall consist of one (1) arbitrator. The language of the arbitration shall be English.

  12. General

    12.1     These Terms and Conditions are the entire agreement between you and the Insurer in relation to your access and use of the GREAT EASTERN eConnect service and shall supersede all previous communications (whether written, oral or otherwise), discussions or letters relating to the same.

    12.2     The invalidity of any provision of these Terms and Conditions (or parts of any provision) will not affect the validity or enforceability of any other provision (or the remaining parts of that provision). If a competent court or arbitral tribunal holds any part of these Terms and Conditions to be unenforceable as drafted, we may replace those terms with similar terms to the extent enforceable under applicable laws and regulations, without changing the remaining terms of these Terms and Conditions.

    12.3     No delay in enforcing any provision of these Terms and Conditions will be construed to be a waiver of any rights under that provision.

    12.4     The rights to access and use your Account (if you are a Customer) and/or this GREAT EASTERN eConnect service is personal to you, and you may not transfer or assign to a third party any of your rights and obligations as defined in these Terms and Conditions. The Insurer may freely assign, transfer or sub-contract these Terms and Conditions or our rights and obligations under these Terms and Conditions, in whole or in part, without your prior consent or prior notice to you.

    12.5     You agree to indemnify, defend and hold the Insurer, its related corporations/affiliates, including their respective successors, assigns, employees, officers, harmless from and against all claims, demands, actions, losses, damages, costs and expenses (including legal fees), arising out of and/or in connection with your breach of these Terms and Conditions, your access or use of the GREAT EASTERN eConnect service, your use of your Account (if you are a Customer) and/or your failure to comply with any applicable laws or regulations.

    12.6     These Terms and Conditions are entered into between you and the Insurer. For the avoidance of doubt, except as expressly stated in these Terms and Conditions, a person who is not a party to these Terms and Conditions shall have no right under the Contracts (Rights of Third Parties) Act (Cap. 53B) to enforce any of these Terms and Conditions.

You are deemed to have received notice of the same upon the Insurer posting the relevant notice on the GREAT EASTERN eConnect service and/or by sending any such notice to any contact information you may have provided the Insurer with.

  14. Changes to these Terms and Conditions

    We may revise these Terms and Conditions at any time by amending this page. You are expected to check this page from time to time to take notice of any changes we have made, as they are binding on you. Some of the provisions contained in these Terms and Conditions may also be superseded by provisions or notices published elsewhere on the GREAT EASTERN eConnect service. Your continued access and/or use of the GREAT EASTERN eConnect service following any amendment of these Terms and Conditions will signify your assent to and acceptance of its revised terms.
