Getting started

Great ID is a unique sign-in identity used to manage your Great Eastern digital services. Great ID is available only to Great Eastern policyholders.

All you need are a valid email address and an existing Great Eastern policy.

No, a unique Great ID account will ensure that you are given access to the right digital services.

The GreatID biometric feature enables users to access the mobile app quickly and securely by using the mobile device’s fingerprint/face recognition function. With this feature, users would not be required to enter usernames passwords to log in once it is set up.

You can access the “Biometric settings” and delete the old Biometric authentication of your previous device or the device your are no longer going to use. You would subsequently need to re-register your biometric authentication with your new device.

Create a Great ID account

Use Great ID to sign in securely to digital services such as the Great Eastern App, eConnect and Great Eastern Rewards. 

Here are the steps to take to create a Great ID account. Please note our Privacy Policy before signing up:

Verify that you are a Great Eastern policyholder with either your personal ID (e.g. NRIC) or policy number. Fill in your particulars and click on Next.

Key in the one-time password sent to your registered mobile number. Click Submit.

Fill in your preferred name and  email address and set a password. Click Next.

A one-time password (OTP) will be sent to the email address which you had keyed in in the previous step. Key in the OTP and click Submit.

Click on Let’s go! to return to the sign-in page.

Verifying yourself as a Great Eastern policyholder will allow us to give you access to the right digital services.

Here are the steps to take to verify yourself:

If you already have Great ID but has not verified as policyholder, you can proceed to:

eConnect or Great Eastern App, sign in with your Great ID and follow the instructions to verify yourself as a Great Eastern Customer.

Great Eastern Rewards “Me” page, and verify yourself as a Great Eastern Customer.

  1. Verify that you are a policy holder either via Personal ID or Policy number
  2. A One-Time Password (OTP) will be sent to your mobile number in our records. If this is not your mobile number, on this page, select “I am using a different number”, and you can update us using Singpass MyInfo.
  3. Enter the OTP and you’re done with the verification process.

The policy number is an 8- or 10-digit number (omit the dash when key in the policy number) found in the following documents:

  • Policy schedule page
  • Renewal premium notice
  • Payment official receipt

There might be a mismatch of your details in our records. Please update your details or contact our customer service.

Change Great ID password or unlock account

If you would like to change your password, you can follow the steps below:

Step 1 Sign in to eConnect.

Step 2 Go to Manage Great ID.

Step 3 Log in to your Great ID by entering your password.

Step 4 Select “Change Password”.

Step 5 Provide current and new password.

If you have forgotten your password, please follow the steps below:

Step 1 In the Great ID sign in screen, go to the “Forgot your password?” link.

Step 2 Enter your email address.

Step 3 Verify your mobile or email by using the verification code sent to your mobile or email inbox.

Step 4 Enter a new password.

Note: You will only receive a verification code if the Great ID exists.

You will automatically be logged out after a period of inactivity.

We do encourage you to always log out once your have concluded your session.

Update Great ID OTP mobile number

Follow the steps below if you wish to change the mobile number used to receive your Great ID one-time password (OTP).

There are 3 ways you can update your mobile number:

Method 1: If you are an existing Great Eastern App user, you can update your mobile number:

  • on the one-time password (mobile OTP) screen by choosing “I am using a different number” you can update using Myinfo.
  • after successfully signing in to Great Eastern App, go to Services > Personal particulars > Update Contact details and you can update using Myinfo.

Method 2: If you are not an existing user, you may sign up for Great ID and update your mobile number via Singpass Myinfo during the sign up process.

Method 3: You can download and complete the Update of Personal Particulars form and send it to us through one of the following ways:

  • Email it to wecare-sg@greateasternlife.com.
  • Mail it to 1 Pickering Street, #01-01 Great Eastern Centre, Singapore 048659.
  • Submit it in person to our Customer Service Centres at Great Eastern Centre or Great Eastern @ Changi from 9am to 5.30pm, Monday to Friday (excluding public holidays).

Sign in with Singpass

Great Eastern App

Step 1 Select “Singpass” from the login screen.

Step 2 Tap on the Singpass QR code. You’ll automatically be directed to the Singpass mobile app.

Step 3 Log in using your Singpass biometric.

Step 4 Upon a successful login, you’ll be directed back to the Great Eastern App.

Note: If you do not have a Great ID, you will be prompted to create one with a valid email.

You can download the Singpass Mobile app on Google Play or the Apple App Store. Once downloaded, follow the instructions in the app and complete a one-time setup.

Yes, you can still access the Great Eastern App using Great ID and biometrics.

No, we’ll need you to use your Singpass mobile app to log in.

Yes, you will have full access to Great Eastern App. You will be able to perform transactions such as updating of personal particulars, fund switching, change payment method and etc.

Set up biometric sign-in

You can enable GreatID biometric sign-in on Great Eastern App for a more seamless login experience.

Yes you can. Biometrics authentication offers a secure and convenient way of logging into Great Eastern App. You have the option of turning it on or off anytime and revert to using your GreatID username and password to log in.

For a successful Face Verification, you should ensure that:

  • face is not covered
  • keep still while scanning is in progress
  • surrounding environment is not too dark
  • no bright lighting in background

For a successful Fingerprint Verification, you should ensure that:

  • finger is clean, free from dirt and dry
  • fingerprint scanner is clean and dry
  • keep finger still while fingerprint is being scanned

You may log into the Biometrics settings page within the Great Eastern App using your GreatID username and password to delete and re-register your biometrics.

Yes you can. However you may be required to register your biometrics authentication on each different device.

Please log into your Great ID account using your username and password. Proceed to "More" menu on the right of the bottom screen navigation bar and select "Settings". Click on "Biometric settings" and log in with GID & password. Please clear the registered biometric profiles by clicking on the trash can icons to the right on the listed profiles. After doing so, you should be able to log in without getting any prompts to sign in with biometrics.
