Giving the locals an opportunity to succeed is Great

Robert Stahl and Leigh always had a big dream of building the region’s finest resort. And that they did, in the form of The Lovina Bali.

Built from 2009 to 2012, they took great pains to ensure that the Lovina Bali Resort is 100% Balinese, from its architecture to the cuisine and spa experiences. Set amongst lush rice fields and along Lovina beach, it remains a sanctuary rooted in the local spirit.

Committed to empowering communities nearby, they hired locals with little to no prior experience. Despite the challenges, they managed to build a solid management team through training and continuous development, ensuring world-class service.

The Lovina Bali stays true to its mission by supporting local arts, with traditional Balinese dances and music a common sight at the resort.

In addition to cultural preservation, Robert and Leigh continue to ensure they give back to the community through eco-friendly projects.

These initiatives include protecting turtle nesting areas and rehabilitating coral reefs, helping safeguard the natural beauty of Lovina Beach for future generations.

“When I set out to build Lovina Bali, I wanted it to genuinely support our local communities."
